Again on 25 Aug. On 25 Aug. we saw IRU 1 currents above limits. GRETA workstations failed night of 26 Aug. Twinkie hung; we used freefot1. MP: We are working on the SEP03 load. Products expected about noon. Email review tomorrow; full review Wed. S/C: Reno back from vacation; reports the eclipse went well. Thermal readings are good. Bill reports gyro 1 has been noisy since 23 Aug, but quieted down on 26 Aug. Other gyro parameters, like drift rate are OK. This looks like the 1999 event with gyro 2, which had no permament effects. The current, normally ~95 mA, was running in the 120s, with a peak at 148. The 1999 event saw a normal current of 98 go as high as 125. GOT: OFLS 9.2a will go to third string. DATA: Joy reports that aspect stability exceeded a limit in the processing for 40 out of 50 ks of OBSID 2128. This appears coincident with the reports of gyro high current. The limit is probably in the 0.1 arcsec range, so the data may be ultimately usable, after manual intervention in processing. SOT: A CME from an X class flare that peaked on August 25 16:45 will likely impact Earth today and cause active to severe storm conditions. 60-100% probability. At present such a failure is not anticipated. This situation will be reviewed at the 3:00 FOT meeting today.
