There was an X2.8 class solar flare at 0805GMT today which triggered a radio blackout across much of Europe and Asia, but it is still unclear at this writing whether or not there is an associated Earth-directed CME. GOES and ACE proton rates remain low. Chandra exposure this orbit is low (note 2).
