S/C: - GOT: - DATA: - SOT: Proton rates are high, but dropping gradually. There was "an impressive, impulsive major X6.2/3B flare [on 13 Dec.] 14:30 UTC. A halo CME was observed shortly afterwards in LASCO C3 images. The CME appears to be a full halo CME but emissions were weak below the south pole. The CME will likely reach Earth sometime between late today and noon on December 15." There were also two M class flares yesterday. There is a high chance of a CME arriving within 96 hrs and a high chance of M or X class flares in the next 48 hours.
