Observing 'NGC2110' (obsid 3410) with ACIS-S/HETG. Current radiation levels are low, proton flux about 500. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at low to moderate levels. Regions 9738 and 9742 are expected to continue to grow in size and complexity and should produce increased levels of activity. Region 9733 continues to retain a slight chance of producing a major flare before it transits over the western limb. No COMM this shift. The downlink on 54 had problems, so 66 was used for both uplink and downlink. This worked out well, data was dumped at 512K rate with no errors. - One ls uplinked, good thru 356:1659 - Dumps current Mission Planning (Ken): - DEC24 E-mail review held, revised products out for review today at 2pm. - JAN07 load in work and going well. S/C Engineering(Rino/Eric/Rich): - All is OK on S/C - Eric reported on aspect problems during obsid 3108. Problem was that faint guide stars were intermittently overlapping warm pixels on the ACA as the S/C dithered. The OBC then intermittently rejected the perturbed stars due to magnitude or position errors. This was not a problem for onboard control since typically only one or at most two guide stars were affected at any one time, leaving 4 (or 3) good stars to guide on, of the 5 total stars. The perturbed star posns also afffected ground aspect processing, but this effect was minimized by cutting out times in which the aspect soln was very bad, plus eliminating one star in the aspect soln processing. This gave an acceptable result. - Rich Myers reported that they will be dumping and verifying all of Checksum OBC memory via a series of CAP's. SOT(Bill): - Radiation flux level (soft protons) is low (500) - Spaceweather predictions are for low to moderate activity DSOPS(Jen): - Several QL's, see below GOT(Mike/Chris): - All is OK.
