NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS From the 9am status meeting: LETG insertion was successful yesterday. Took 14 small steps, same as last time. This allowed the successful TOO observation of SS Cyg with HRC-S/LETG. Thanks to all! Telecon yesterday on SIM lubrication. Decided that the translation mechanism moves essentially its full length frequently, no special lubrication operation is needed. In focus, the desired operational range is very small -- not worth the risk of the mechanism sticking during a lubrication operation far out of focus. Will recommend a 70, instead of 50, step hysteresis overshoot in order to ensure a full rotation over the range of focus which is actually used. OTG telecon scheduled for 3pm today. A simulation will be run today. The simulated support start time is 12:30pm EST. A tagup pre-brief will be held in action room at 10:30am. Purpose will be to recover to a safe configuration, no recovery of the observing program will be included. JAN2201d products created and circulated yesterday, but the DOT still needs to be sent out to enable the ACA operation review. On-board loads good until 020:21:01.
