SOT shift report 2001-05-10 L658 Start at 2001:130:12:48 GMT = 2001 May 10 08:48am EDT End 10:30am EDT SOT Lead Ed Kellogg Plan: OBSID 01941, SS 433 2001:130:10:37, ACIS-S HETG. MAPPING THE JETS OF SS 433 Doppler-shifted emission lines in its X-ray spectrum originating from the two anti-parallel jets. then OBSID 02222, RXJ 1347.5-1145 2001:130:17:00, ACIS-S HETG. SPECTRAL-SPATIAL DIAGNOSTICS OF THE MOST LUMINOUS X-RAY CLUSTER OF GALAXIES WITH THE HETG - this is a compact high redshift (0.451) X-ray cluster. Measure its cooling flow and detect a number of emission lines. Determine the dynamics of X-ray gas early in the history of cluster formation. REAL TIME OBSERVATIONS GMT OBSID ---------------------- ---- ----- 3 fids, 5 stars 1257 1941 Notes from 9 am meeting ------------------------ OPS: Passes 3 over the last day(s) Dumps current Data loss - Load is good -> 133/23:58 CAPs - next passes 2125, 0615 VCDU rollover today, 10 May 2134 GMT MP: Testing of OFLS 9.1a can continue when ACA check gets patched to account for a new feature in the DOT. OFLS 9.2 was delivered to OCC yesterday by CSC, who completed testing it on ASVT. FOT will test it after they finish testing 9.1a. S/C: The untracked star (in the last slot for OBSID 1597) was one of the two elliptical galaxies that gave us trouble before. The filter that was supposed to stop it apparently didn't work. GOT: - SOT: Radiation very quiet. Mgr: FDB today at 2 pm.
