Perform inbound CTI measurements then shutdown for perigee passage. CME: Yesterday a double-lobed CME was observed by SOHO. Did not affect our operations. GEOMAGNETIC STORM: This weekend Earth entered a high-speed solar wind stream flowing from a large coronal hole on the Sun. Solar wind gusts triggered a G2-class geomagnetic storm on May 12th and lesser disturbances on May 13th. Today our planet is exiting the stream and storm conditions have mostly subsided. Current ACE solar proton flux levels are about 50 (very low). Decision to promote following review. - MAY21 products to be sent out this AM, will hold an E-mail review S/C Engineering(Eric/Rich): - No problems - ASVT testing today on SCS stubout patches SOT(Bill): - Current radiation levels low (ACE P3 flux ~= 50) - Geomagnetic storm and two-lobed CME over weekend did not cause any problems for Chandra (dose last orbit = 9.7E-8) - Discussed experimental efforts to provide a backup snapshot page using pegreta.harvard.edu and GRETA decomm engine. Working successfully now in test mode, getting data from forbin. DSOPS(Joy) - Three quick looks (see below) - Dump 27182 provided to DSOPS originally did not have enough overlap with previous dump. This was fixed shortly after meeting. GOT(Mike): - Will (DID) fix dump issue noted above - Discussed status of GRETA feed to West Coast. It is reported to be working now. Decided to review the issue and resolution after FDB Thursday.
