NOV12 close to completion. One issue is whether to have ACIS running during the Leonid event. S/C: Rich Myer will be testing the SIM position reacquire on ASVT today. A change to the firewall for the OCC office LAN was approved at yesterday's FDB. Implementation testing will begin this weekend. We updated TDB PB008 on the 3rd string. GOT: - DATA: We lost the real time feed for the Data Systems at ~10 am EST. Several OBSIDs (5 or 6) had the wrong stars in the SOE. We are working to fix this with the arcops group. This has happened a couple of times in the mission. It seems to result from lack of a manual update to the SOE when a star catalog changes. It would be good to prevent this in the future, or at least have a well defined procedure to deal with it. SOT: Proton rates are quite low. Flare activity has been quite high. There were 5 M class flares, two of long duration. Early LASCO images indicate that a halo CME was produced. In that case the CME will likely impact Earth on Sunday, November 4. 60-100% chance of a CME arriving within 96 hrs. 60-100% chance of M and X class flares in the next 48 hours. MEETINGS -------- Level 2 telecon at 2:00 EST to discuss orientation of solar array during Leonid event.
