NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS From the 9am status meeting: The load breaks that had been put into the NOV1201E loads for handling the Leonid SCS107 contingency plan were redone, and new NOV1201F products were issued with the corrections. A CAP has been written to replace one of the on-board load SCS slots with the corrected segment. NOV1901C products were issued and approved to maintain continuity. NOV2601 products are expected out today. Plan for email review on Monday and final signoff Tuesday, to avoid conflict with the Thanksgiving vacation. (Note Thursday and Friday are both TRW company holidays.) This schedule will include the followup Target of Opportunity for the fast X-ray Flasher. An extensive CAP review yesterday of the 8 CAPs needed (1, plus 7 contingency) for the Leonid shower preparations. Some minor followups and signoffs are needed this morning. ACIS has prepared revised tables to provide an automatic recovery from a BEP Trickle Bias anomaly (formerly known as the T-plane Latchup Anomaly). Royce reports: "Science runs which will take a bias now begin with two stop sciences (in order to guarantee that, even if the expected preceding stop science failed to be commanded, the BEPs will not be trying to poll the FEPs), and a WSPOW00000 (powering down all FEPs and video boards), instead of beginning with a WSVIDALLDN." The protection is such that when a new bias is taken, the T-plane latchup is cleared. This will NOT prevent the occurrence of the anomaly. LEONID preparation. With the signoff of the CAPs, we will have completed all actions, and be prepared for Leonid operations. All teams have planned and scheduled appropriate coverage and backup. There will be a tagup telecon on 305 503 1818 pin 421, on Sunday, at 3:30pm EST, so that appropriate parties will be ready in case we need to execute the contingency maneuver.
