S/C: Dan Shropshire thanks all for the excellent job of preparing for the Leonids event. There were no problems with Chandra. One small out of limit on the xmtr power was observed all day, but it's likely a telemetry problem. The 3 hour gyro hold went well. A ~3" shot upon exit shows the bias is good. Eric reports we sent hardware commands to ACA during the hold. We came to within 1.3 degrees of the earth's dark limb before losing stars. We found stars at 4.5 deg. from the bright earth's limb. GOT: We plan to reboot all EHS nodes later this week. There was a problem with the automatic ODE xfer, traced to an expired password. Joy will check to see if it is OK now. GOT to revise procedures to prevent recurrence. Chocodile is a bit flaky, so freefot1 is prime. There were some issues with ftp access to lucky from HEAD. They are believed fixed. SOT Lead will check this pm. DATA: - SOT: Proton rates are high and climbing. Solar activity was low yesterday. There was one very long duration M class flare two days ago; a full halo CME was produced. We are seeing elevated proton levels now, and can expect them for the next day or so. There is a high chance of a CME arriving within 96 hrs and a low chance of M or X class flares in the next 48 hours.
