PLAN ---- Load SEP3001B has terminated, due to EPHIN triggering of SCS 107 at about 275:06:40. We are holding in NPT at the position of OBSID 1900, with all instruments safed. No comm this shift. Next Comms: 275:2000 to 2115 276:0400 to 0500 276:1010 to 1110 276:1740 to 1940 276:2300 to 0000 Orbital events: 2001:276:06:52:59.194 298 ORBIT APOGEE 2001:277:14:36:19.746 298 ORBIT PERIGEE 2001:278:22:20:51.881 299 ORBIT APOGEE 2001:280:06:04:51.862 299 ORBIT PERIGEE EVENTS ------ Status at LOS, 275:10:20, was as follows: PCAD MODE = NPNT CONTROL LAW FLAG = NPNT Stars: = 5 FIDS = 0 RA = 85.918 deg Dec = -68.394 deg ROLL = 77.085 deg Format = 1 OBSID = 1900 CAL 83 position SIM FA = -467 SIM TSC = -99616 (HRC-S) HETG = OUT (79.84 deg) LETG = OUT (77.96 deg) HRC-S HV is ON EPHIN Geom = LARG E1300 = 68.1 LT 10.0 RADMON HAS P4GM = 785.9 LT 300. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS From the 9am status meeting: Three supports, one load segment uplinked, all dumps are current. SCS 107 was triggered by high EPHIN rates, apparently as soon as RADMON was enabled, at about 275:06:40 after exiting radiation belts. We changed OBSID to 1900 and maneuvered to the correct target location, but LETG grating was not inserted, and SIM focus was not adjusted for the HRC-S position. An email review of OCT0801A was conducted, and new OCT0801B products were issued yesterday. However, review of OCT0801B has been cancelled. After the replan, new OCT0801C products will be issued with continuity, and a review scheduled. There will be a telecon at 11am EDT tomorrow, Oct 3, to update the status of the IRU investigation. In the action room, and on 405 244 5060 1165#. IRU has been very stable since the excursions a week ago. We plan a telecon at 4pm EDT today, Oct 2, on 405 244 5060 1159#, to check EPHIN rates and discuss restart. We expect to follow with a load review at 4:10pm EDT, (but that will be announced when products are sent). AS of 11:30pm EDT, GOES P2 and P5 rates are declining steeply, and are below the predicted levels for triggering EPHIN P4GM and P42GM, respectively. We plan to resume observations at ~276:12:00 GMT (tomorrow, ~8am EDT) with what is currently OBSID 1900, HRC/LETG on CAL-83. It will run the rest of the orbit, skipping 1880, 2034, 1951. Then load will resume with the schedule as originally planned in SEP3001B. Note that we assigned a new OBSID number, 3402, for CAL 83, to avoid confusion in processing with the 1900 OBSID. 3402 is configured in OBSCAT identically with the originally planned 1900 configuration. Dan R. has done a backup of coot today.
