PLAN ---- Exit perigee and start running load OCT0301B, the replan after an EPHIN triggered SCS107. Use HRC-S/LETG to observe the bright supersoft X-ray source CAL 83, OBSID 3402. (This is a new OBSID for sequence 300048, replacing obsid 1900 which was used during the SCS107 shutdown.) No comm this shift. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS From the 9am status meeting: In last 24 hours, 3 supports, all SSR dumps current (most recent not to OCC yet). Ran 3 CAP's: CAP 675 to re-enable SCS 107; CAP 329 for a manual momentum unload; and CAP 747 to start a long ACIS CTI run. There will be a VCDU roll over approximately at 280:04:12. OCT0301C products being prepared today for review tomorrow. Need ACIS event histogram parameter blocks which are a late change to the load. ASVT testing of the SSR script yesterday generated an error message (226) which was once seen on the spacecraft. This may be a good lead to enable tracking down the error. Meeting: Tagup telcon on gyro status at 11am, in action room and on 405 244 5060 1165# See http://pegreta.harvard.edu/wap/gyros/Long_Term/ and /stage/pool14/chandra/IRU/ EPHIN rates still a factor of 10 (E1300) to 100 (P4GM) above minimum levels. Large ACE P2 events seen at 1000 and ~1430 GMT today. But we are only using HRC for the rest of the orbit, so no issue with ACIS CTI. The Solar Terrestrial Activity Report states: "The interplanetary magnetic field strengthened and swung strongly southwards after 05h UTC. As a result the current geomagnetic disturbance has intensified. Some high latitude magnetometers are recording severe storming." Quick look data: No new quick looks today, due to load interruption yesterday. ------------------------------------------------------- Dan Schwartz, MS #3 das@head-cfa.harvard.edu phone: (617)495-7232 FAX: (617)495-7356 cell phone: (617)512-5627 pager: 877-693-7198 PIN 693-7198 or e-mail 6937198@archwireless.net -------------------------------------------------------
