Recovery load OCT2301A is onboard and running with first activity at 296:0800. Chandra is ascending, and has just exited the radiation zone. First observation is of '1RXS J1708-4009', obsid 1963, with HRC-I begins at 296:1029. Solar radiation (soft proton) flux is moderate (about 1700) and has been decreasing since peak Sunday (Oct 21). Higher energy protons peaked again last night (295:2200 UT) and are now also decreasing. Several M class flares yesterday and more possible today. S/C Engineering(Dan): - Some marginal yellow limit violations were seen on MUPS valves, probably due to long dwell at low sun pitch angle - Bias jogs were seen Sunday (294) in pitch and yaw. Jogs were associated with current variation in gyro 2. Magnitude of pitch jog was 0.02 deg/hr.
