Recovery into normal Point was accomplished on 266:0216-0248. Four (of 9) moon observations were completed before BSH. This week's load (SEP2401D now) was replanned and uplinked yesterday, with the first activity starting at 267:0133. We now are running load SEP2401D on descending leg. Observing 'HD 93497' (obsid 1890) with ACIS-S/HETG. Current ACE solar proton flux levels are increasing rapidly due to to an X class flare at about 267:0930. Are now over 1000 and are starting to flatten. GOES rates also rising, indicating possibility of RADMON trip. No COMM this shift. JPL sain data was "unrecoverable". OC requested added DSS-27 support and transferred recording to SSR-B to avoid loss of data. CAP 664 run to do this. - DATA was eventually recovered (except for 80 frames) by DSN - On Saturday's DSS-66 pass (265:1640) S/C did not come up. OC turned COMM on and found Chandra in Bright Star Hold (see more below). - DSS-46 pass on 266:0800-1000 deleted due to station problems. - DSS-46 pass on 267:0145 delayed 1 hr 35 mins due to unknown station problems. - Current on dumps - 3 LS uplinked from SEP2401D, good thru 271:0615 - Ran following CAPS: * 664 264:2206 - Transfer recording to SSR-B * 744 265:0647 - Manual maneuver contingency load * 745 266:0214 - Recover from BSH * 675 266:1742 - Reenable SCS 107 Mission Planning (Ken): - Got 4 of moon obs, missed comet obs in SEP17 - SEP24 load replanned, reviewed, approved and uplinked - OCT01 load products out for E-mail review today S/C Engineering(Dan): - On Friday between 264:1000 - 1200 there was a large gyro bias shift in both pitch and yaw. - On Saturday at about 265:0850 there was a large one-shot error at the second parking attitude (after first 2 moon obs). - On the next pass (265:1640) Chandra was in Bright Stat Hold mode, having occurred at about 265:1150 when commanded to third parking attitude (after 3rd and 4th moon obs). The attitude was 170 arcsec away from the target. It appears that the gyro bias jog was of a magnitude which has been seen before, but this time it occurred at a bad time, when we were not in normal point. - Recovery from BSH was performed 266:0216-0248 per CAP 745. - Analysis of event and gyro performance is ongoing, especially: * Accounting for 170 arcsec error * Are bias jogs without current or temp change anomalous - Will run CAP to recover to SSR-A next COMM SOT(Bill): - Due to an X class solar flare the ACE rates are rising rapidly as are GOES rates. Soft proton rates are flattening now, but hard proton rates are still rising. DSOPS(Joy): - QL's (see below). GOT(Chris/George): - Squirt software will be updated this AM. SOT EGSE should be checked out at next COMM. - "Unrecoverable" data was recovered by DSN (except for 80 mf's) Meetings/events: - 10am, MP internal - 1pm, internal system engineering - 2pm, FOT managemant 3) Quick look data: Seq # ObsID It Target start time SI Grat Comment ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 700309 02119 00 1WGA_J1233.3+6910 2001:264:16:21:27.693 2.9 ACIS-S NONE 200111 01883 00 MWC297 2001:264:17:45:18.206 38.0 ACIS-I NONE 400127 01914 00 SAX J1752.3-3138 2001:265:05:06:02.640 4.8 ACIS-S NONE 190007 03368 00 DARK MOON 2001:265:08:00:00.000 2.2 ACIS-I NONE 190007 03370 00 DARK MOON 2001:265:09:00:00.000 5.2 ACIS-I NONE 190007 03371 00 DARK MOON 2001:265:10:30:00.000 4.0 ACIS-I NONE
