Go/no-go telecon to decide on uplinking the science loads will be held this evening at 10pm EST on 1165. Plan B contingency products will be developed today in case of a no-go for DEC1506 this evening. Eng: - ACIS ops ran CAP 1023 to reload ACIS flight software patches and restart DEA housekeeping. - CAP 1024 was run to re-enable the S/C momentum monitor, which was left disabled as a consequence of the SCS107 run during a maneuver. - IRU calibration update was approved at the FDB. - ACA cooling CAP review at 1pm - Sim debrief at 11am on 1165 Radiation: - X2 flare peaking at 348:22:15. No LASCO imagery available to indicate whether there is an associated CME, but one is likely. - ACE and GOES proton rates are presently well below operating thresholds and as yet they show no indications of the X2 flare. - A go/no-go telecon will be held this evening at 10pm EST on 1165 to decide whether to uplink the science load segments of DEC1506A during the 350:04:00 DSS-34 pass. - Plan-B products are being developed today in case that science load is not uplinked. Products to be ready for uplink at either 350:12:15 (DSS-27) or 350:19:40 (DSS-54). A rad-zone entry pad of 20 ksec is planned for the first entry, with science resuming after 350:19:40.
