DSS-34 was initially unable to command the spacecraft, but recycled the command modulator and problem cleared with no impacts. SCS 107 tripped at about 01:32, due to high E1300 counts upon approach to perigee, which appeared due to "puffed up" radiation belts as we have seen before. Rates were almost 3 times threshold, and ephin rail voltage was recovering from a trip, so the enhancement of E1300 during EPHIN voltage trip was not a factor. Time lost from obsid 6904, 4C 19.44, was 2.3 ks. We also lost the "Venus pathfinder" test of tracking stars, which was to have been performed during perigee. Products are being reworked with a plan to uplink at the 19:40 pass this afternoon (2:40 pm EST). A new support was obtained for 19:40 to 22:50 to enable this uplink, replacing the previous 21:00-22:00 DSS-54 pass. We will run the pre-approved CAP to disable SCS 29 at the next pass. Quick look data: OBSID Target Time Comment ----- ------ -------------- ------- 7227 cl0350-3801 078:21:44 ACIS-I NONE Looks ok. 6477 through 6497 are a series of HRC-S cal observations of AR Lac. All show streaks due to motion to the target, plus the know "tail" to HRC images, and various off-axis response functions. ------------------------------------------------------- Dan Schwartz, MS #3 das@head-cfa.harvard.edu phone: (617)495-7232 cell phone: (617)512-5627 pager: email to 6175125627@vtext.com -------------------------------------------------------
