Spacecraft continues to perform superbly and operations continue to be routine. No significant spacecraft hardware problems or safe modes have occurred since last report.
Cycle 4 Budgets approved by HQ; Cycle 4 EPO review completed at SAO.
Additional effort applied to Ed/Out 50% staffed; 3 SSUs held since 9/3/02.
MSFC Independent Annual Review to be held 9/5/02, MSFC Quarterly Review held 12/3/02. No significant actions.
Contract change to direct SAO to perform call for proposals in place of NRA – similar to HST model, complete and Cycle 5 CfP released 12/13.
CXC Contract extension proposal for 11-months from 9/30/02 to 8/31/03 completed and all subcontracts extended.
MSFC is pursuing a sole source approach for contract post 8/31/03. Second 5-year budget level briefing given to HQ as part of POP-02, positive response.
No significant near-team budget or staffing issues.
