AHELP for CIAO 4.11 ChIPS v1

display_plot

Context: plots

Synopsis

Display the specified plot.

Syntax

display_plot()
display_plot(id)

Description

The function arguments.

Argument Description
id A ChipsId structure identifying the item, or a string containing the name of the object.

If no argument is given then the current plot is shown, otherwise the argument determines what to show.

Examples

Example 1

chips> add_plot(.1, .1, .5, .5)
chips> hide_plot()
chips> display_plot()

Create a plot and hide it, then display the current plot.

Example 2

chips> add_plot(.1, .1, .5, .5, "id=obs2464")
chips> hide_plot("obs2464")
chips> add_plot(.5, .5, .9, .9, "id=obs2463")
chips> id = ChipsId()
chips> id.plot = "obs2464"
chips> display_plot(id)

Two plots are created; the second plot is current after it is created. The id.plot command sets the plot value of the ChipsId structure to the first plot. That plot is then displayed.

Example 3

chips> add_plot(.1, .5, .5, .9, "id=obs459")
chips> add_plot(.5, .1, .9, .5, "id=obs3456")
chips> hide_plot("all")
chips> display_plot("all")

Two plots are created and hidden, then the display_plot command displays them both.
