07 Nov 2006 CALDB version 3.2.4 has been released. This release contains ACIS time-dependent gain calibration files only. See the How CALDB 3.2.4 Affects Your Analysis section of the CIAO release notes and the CALDB release notes for details. 31 Jul 2006 New webpage: Effective Area Cross-calibration Results Involving the Chandra X-ray Observatory This webpage provides a discussion of cross-calibration work relating the Chandra X-ray Observatory to other X-ray missions, particularly XMM-Newton. Much of this webpage was developed in cooperation with the XMM-Newton calibration team. |
CIAO 3.2.1 Release NotesReturn to: Version History The CIAO 3.2.1 patch contains updated versions of acis_build_badpix and acis_run_hotpix. For more information on using these tools, please see the Identify ACIS Hot Pixels and Cosmic Ray Afterglows thread, which has been updated to reflect the changes in this release.
Make sure to delete any existing parameter file (acis_run_hotpix.par) in ~/cxcds_param so that you pick up the CIAO 3.2.1 default version, which has a new parameter (pbkfile). If you created a new bad pixel file with acis_run_hotpix in CIAO 3.2 and the tool did not report any errors, it is not necessary to recreate the file in CIAO 3.2.1. |
