Redshift an additive model. XSpec convolution model *Experimental*.
This convolution model redshifts an additive model. It takes the calculated model and shifts energies by 1/(1+z) then applies an additional 1/(1+z) factor to the model values.
Loading the X-Spec convolution models
Please see ahelp xsconvolve for information on how to load the model.
- This is an experimental release of the convolution models; please take care when using this model.
- Sherpa does not have an equivalent of the extend command in X-Spec.
This information is taken from the XSpec User's Guide. Version 12.10.0e of the XSpec models is supplied with CIAO 4.11.
sherpa> from sherpa_contrib.xspec.xsconvolve import load_xszashift sherpa> load_xszashift("zas") sherpa> set_source(xsphabs.gal * zas(xspowerlaw.pl + xsgaussian.gl)) sherpa> zas.redshift = 0.25
The power-law and gaussian components are redshifted and then an absorption model is applied.
