OVERVIEW:

This is a contingency procedure to switch from using BEP A to using BEP B.

SUMMARY:

1.0  Verify Format 2 Telemetry
2.0  Verify Current ACIS State
3.0  Select BEP B
4.0  Cold boot BEP
5.0  Verify ACIS Telemetry

CONSTRAINTS:

ACIS-L-007 When the OBC is commanding the ACIS, no real-time ground ACIS commanding is allowed.  Simultaneous real-time ground and OBC commanding of the ACIS may disrupt ACIS operation.  Simultaneous OBC and real-time ground commanding of the ACIS will generate erroneous commands resulting in the loss of science data.

INITIAL CONDITIONS:

DPA A and B both powered up and BEP A active BEP.  The FEPs and video boards must be powered off.

OC: If not in Format 2, start script C_SET_FORMAT to set format as follows:

  1.  VERIFY CURRENT ACIS STATE

The SOT will verify ACIS is configured properly and is ready to boot BEP B.  EHS display I_ACIS_E_NEW displays the telemetry the SOT uses to verify ACIS is working properly.  If SOT determines telemetry does not verify because of an ACIS problem then EXIT this procedure.

ACIS: Verify current ACIS operating status

OC: If SOT concurs that ACIS status telemetry is correctly verified then proceed to step 3.0.  Otherwise, if SOT cannot verify telemetry, EXIT this procedure.

 

  1.  SELECT BEP B

OC: Start script I_1_SWITCH_BEPA_B.ssc

OC: On SOT authorization resume script past initial WAIT

Script will buffer command:

  1BSELICL (with command field 1BSELIC1 set to '1') [Select BEP B]

OC: Inform SOT of wait state in script.  Wait for SOT authorization to resume script.

OC: On SOT authorization resume script

     Script will uplink command buffer

OC: Inform SOT of wait state in script.  Wait for SOT authorization to resume script.

  1.  COLD BOOT BEP

OC: On SOT authorization resume script

Script will buffer command:

  1BMODIBM (with command field 1BMODIB1 set to '0')

                                                                                                             [Set boot modifier OFF]

     Script will uplink command buffer

Script will buffer command:

  1WRMBTSB (with command field 1WRMBTS1 set to '0')

                                                                                                             [Set warm boot flag OFF]

     Script will uplink command buffer

Script will buffer command:

  1RSETIRT (with command field 1RSETIR1set to '1') [Halt BEP]

     Script will uplink command buffer

Script will buffer command:

     Script will uplink command buffer

OC: Inform SOT script I_1_SWITCH_BEPA_B has completed.
