Item 1. Call for Images
========================
The EPO group is looking for aesthetically pleasing images for a variety
of EPO products and uses, most notably, the 2008 Chandra Calendar. If
you have an image that you think would be useful as an image release or
a nice possible addition to the Chandra calendar please forward a
version (jpg, png, ps, etc) to the Chandra EPO Image Processor Eli
Bressert (ebressert@cfa.harvard.edu) or multi-media coordinator, Kim
Arcand, at kkowal@cfa.harvard.edu .
Helpful information to include is the object name, Obs Id, a short
comment about the science in the image, and any multiwavelength
possibilities. We have a variety of needs which changes over time, and a
large pool of candidate images is helpful. Press worthy science results
should be sent to the Chandra Press Officer, Megan Watzke
(mwatzke@cfa.harvard.edu
).

Item 2. PIRELLI AWARD RECOGNIZES CHANDRA PODCASTS
==================================================
The Chandra Education and Public Outreach group has received the 2007
Pirelli International award for physics. The Pirelli award, established
in 1996, is the world's first Internet multimedia award aimed at the
diffusion of scientific and technological culture worldwide.
Three members of the Chandra group, Kimberly Kowal Arcand, April Hobart,
and Megan Watzke, along with Chandra scientist Martin Elvis, received
the award in a ceremony in Rome, Italy, on May 11, 2007. Chandra was
selected for the first of its series of video podcasts (also known as
vodcasts) that illustrate the mission and results of NASA's Chandra
X-ray Observatory. According to the Pirelli jury, the motivation
for selecting Chandra was for the innovative use of new generation
multimedia tools toward broadening science communication to the wider public
