Caveat: Time Gaps in HRC Data

Return to: Data Caveats Index

Due to an error in standard data processing (SDP) between level 0 and level 1, HRC drops ~2.05s at varying intervals. This problem affects all HRC data (-I,-S,-SI) regardless of gratings. For long observations this produces more data gaps than is necessary, which is a nuisance for Fourier transforms.

This problem was corrected in version DS 6.6 of SDP.
