Welcome to the Chandra X-ray Center Helpdesk
In order to streamline support requests and better serve you, we utilize a support ticket system. Every support request is assigned a unique ticket number which you can use to track the progress and responses online. A valid email address is required to submit a ticket.
You may also submit a ticket by sending an email to cxchelp@cfa.harvard.edu.
2024 end of year support
The CXC helpdesk will have minimal coverage starting Friday afternoon, 20 December 2024 through Monday morning, 06 January 2025. Routine helpdesk questions and replies received during that time will be answered after 06 January 2025.
Problems with CIAO? Please be sure to include:
- Which version of CIAO?
- What operating system & version?
- The full syntax for the command(s) you are running.
- The complete text of all messages or warnings.
Do not include screen-shots of text in terminal windows; please cut-and-paste the text into the helpdesk ticket.
