Radiation Telecom (09/03/2012) ------------------------------- The ACE orbital fluence exceeded its alert threshold triggering an alert telecon. At the current ACE P3 flux is high and shows no sign of trending down. The decision was made to run SCS 107 to stop the observing load set. SCS 107 was activated at ~8:57am EDT and ran nominally. The plan for resuming observing is to pick-up to nominally planned schedule shortly after radiation zone exit, using the pass that begins at 2012:248:11:30z for uplink. Go/No-Go Telecom (09/04/2012) ------------------------------ ACE rates are still slightly high but decreasing. Since the HETG is inserted for nearly the entire orbit the ACE P# flux was deemed low enough that it was safe to re-start observing with the SEP0412B products. SOT Report (09/04/2012) ----------------------- Geophysical Activity Forecast: Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected 05 - 06 September with a chance for active levels due to arrival of Earth-directed CMEs observed on 02 September. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be low through the period (04 - 06 September) with a chance for isolated M- class flares.
