NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- From the 9am status meeting: 2 Supports completed (total time: 10.8 hours) 3 SSR dumps On 10 Oct 2018 (day 2018:283) at approximately 13:54:52 UTC the Chandra observatory transitioned to Safe Mode. The safe-mode transition was nominal and all systems functioned as expected. The immediate cause of the Safe Mode was a trip of the spacecraft momentum monitor at 2018:283:13:54:39, about 50 minutes after the start of obsid 21871. The cause of the momentum monitor trip is not known at this time, pending analysis of SSR dump data. Due to an extended DSN availability outage and the unknown nature of the cause of the Safe Mode transition, the spacecraft will be in Safe Mode for an extended time. CAP 1382A (284/1530z, Post Safe Mode SCS26 Manipulation) will manipulate the state of SCS 26 to prevent an unnecessary thermal equipment swap due to solar heating while in Safe Mode. Radiation: Solar activity is expected to be very low on days one, two, and three (11 Oct, 12 Oct, 13 Oct). MP: Oct1518 loads are on hold until the return-to-science time is known. Eng: Spacecraft continues to be in Safe Mode. GOT: No issues.
