NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- From the 9am status meeting: 3 Supports completed (total time: 12.9 hours) 4 SSR dumps CAP 1447, 285/0106z, Power On IRU-B, FSSA-B, and SPE-A Radiation: Solar activity is expected to be very low on days one, two, and three (12 Oct, 13 Oct, 14 Oct). MP: Not preparing any loads due to the safe mode. Eng: Root cause of the safe mode transition was identified. An excursion from IRU-2, Gyro-2 caused false rate and momentum data to be computed by the OBC. The change in momentum was large enough to trip the momentum monitor. Safe mode recovery plan includes assessing the status on IRU-2, Gyro-2. If acceptable, recover to OBC control using IRU-2. Maneuver to cooling attitude but do not resume science. Prepare required products and swap to mixed IRU-1, Gyro-2 and IRU-2, Gyro-1 configuration. Resume science. GOT: No issues.
