The patch was applied on 1 May 2017 (CAP 1418) and has been very successful since then. Aspect Camera Processing in the OFP has the capability of re-issuing search commands to find guide stars that have been lost. If a guide star is marked as ‘identified’, it is declared not to be ‘lost’. Guide star identification currently uses 20 arcsec Y and Z thresholds, but if such a star is not being used by the Kalman filter, it is not appropriate for it to be ‘identified’. Therefore, the PCAD commandable parameters SCS load has been modified to change the guide star identification thresholds to 5 arcsec. This CAP can be used to command the OFP to use the updated thresholds. The SCS used in this CAP sets a wide variety of PCAD commandable parameters. It is primarily intended to restore these parameters to operational values following a safing action that has resulted in an OBC reset/initialization. When used by this CAP, some additional constraints are imposed and actions must be taken to return to normal operations. The RTS used to build the uplinked command load has a flag for each type of parameter. If the flag is TRUE (=1) in the FOT request, then the corresponding section of parameters is set according to the values given in the FOT request. Ran nominally Radiation: Solar activity is expected to be very low on days one, two, and three (04 Nov, 05 Nov, 06 Nov). MP: TOO got approved this morning, may impact currently running loads, analysis will be out soon. ENG: No issues. GOT: No issues.
