At cold ACA CCD temperatures (less than -12 C), the fid light centroids appear at or just outside the 20 arcsec fid search box sizes (from center). Therefore, the PCAD commandable parameters SCS load has been modified to increase the half- width for fid search boxes to 40 arcsec by changing their dimension. Note that, in the case where a fid light is not acquired after the first search command issued by the OBC, a scale factor is applied to increase the search box size for the second attempt. Examination of the Ada code for the Onboard Flight Program (OFP) Fiducial Light Processing subfunction found a discrepancy between the OBC Flight Software Requirements document, DM05, and the code implementation. Namely, before the floating-point commandable scale factor for the fid light search boxes is applied, it is rounded to an integer. Therefore, the nominal value of 1.33 is changed to 1 before the scale factor is passed to the Find Fiducial Lights subfunction. This renders the nominal commanded scale factor ineffective at increasing the search box size. To compensate for the code issue, the commandable scale factor, Fid_Size_SF, has been changed to 1.00 and Fid_Dimension has been changed from 0 to 4. Both the first and, if necessary, second search for a fid light will use a search box half-width of 40 arcsec. The SCS used in this CAP sets a wide variety of PCAD commandable parameters. It is primarily intended to restore these parameters to operational values following a safing action that has resulted in an OBC reset/initialization. When used by this CAP, some additional constraints are imposed and actions may need to be taken to return to normal operations. The RTS used to build the uplinked command load has a flag for each type of parameter. If the flag is TRUE (=1) in the FOT request, then the corresponding section of parameters is set according to the values given in the FOT request.
