Based on imagery by the solar dynamics observatory (SDO), the event took place well beyond the west limb and is directed away from our planet. Despite being farsided, we saw a proton enhancement from this event. Because the CME itself is directed away from Earth, it will not result in a geomagnetic storm. Solar activity is likely to be moderate with a slight chance for an X-class flare on days one, two, and three (23 Jul, 24 Jul, 25 Jul). MP: July 29 loads in work. ENG: The ACIS txings flag tripped set coming out of radition due to a solar flare just over the west limb. Thus, SCS 107 may have run during the back orbit. We will find out at ~1. GOT: No issues.
