It is suspected that this splice failed due to high temperatures at some point during MUPS-B2’s 14 years of inactivity. As a lesson learned, it is recommended that all thrusters be fired annually, with exceptions as needed, in order to ascertain state of health. The intent of this procedure is to fire (nominally) ten pulses on MUPS-A2, A3, and A4. Additional pulses will be fired as needed. Three SCSs will be loaded and run at PROP/PCAD’s discretion, one with commanding for each thruster individually. The timing will match that of the OBC in terms of pulse width (200 ms) and firing period (2.5625 sec). Sufficient time (> 2 minutes) will be left between all thruster firings to allow for rate and attitude error settling. Contingency measures will be in place as needed. Care will be taken to restore the system momentum to acceptable values by the end of the procedure. - 750AM, 265/1930z | Low Rate Dump of the Off-line OBC Checksummed Memory (XSUM_1) Perform on-orbit OBC checksummed memory dump of the off-line OBC (address range of 0x00000 to 0x0FFFF). - 750AK, 265/1949z | Low Rate Dump of the Off-line OBC Checksummed Memory (XSUM_2) Perform on-orbit OBC checksummed memory dump of the off-line OBC (address range of 0x10000 to 0x1FFFF). - 750AL, 266/0251z | Low Rate Dump of the Off-line OBC Checksummed Memory (XSUM_3) Perform on-orbit OBC checksummed memory dump of the off-line OBC (address range of 0x20000 to 0x2FFFF). Radiation: Solar activity is expected to be low with a chance for M-class flares on days one, two, and three (23 Sep, 24 Sep, 25 Sep). MP: No issues. ENG: The MUPS checkout on Saturday went well. The activity will be covered by the MUPS working group. GOT: No issues.
