Abstract
ASCA data showed NGC 3516 to have a broad and redshifted Fe
K
line with an absorption feature at 5.8 keV. We took an
HETG observation to confirm the presence of the 5.8 keV
feature. The absorption feature is important as it could
imply a high velocity infall of some material, this is rarely
observed in AGN. The HETG data will also be used to make a
detailed study of the ionized gas around the nucleus of this
AGN.
