Source Model Bugs: ptsrc1d, ptsrc2d

Bugs

  1. The function for extracting the sub-array in these models is not working as intended.

  2. The models ptsrc1d and ptsrc2d identify themselves internally as spsf1d and spsf2d.

  3. ptsrc2d does not work correctly when the PSF overlaps the edge of the field of view.

Bugs

  1. The function for extracting the sub-array in these models is not working as intended.

The desired region of the PSF is not getting selected correctly. Using the full array leads to better results in the cases examined so far.

    Workarounds:

    1. for ptsrc1d set xsize to be equal to the number of bins or data points. In ptsrc2d, make xsize the length of the x-axis, and ysize the length of the y-axis. In all cases, leave xoffset and yoffset at zero.

    2. If the first workaround does not solve the problem, manually crop the PSF such that "lplot psf" and "image psf" look like you'd expect.

  2. The models ptsrc1d and ptsrc2d identify themselves internally as spsf1d and spsf2d.

This means that reading in a save file that uses these models leads to parser errors.

  3. ptsrc2d does not work correctly when the PSF overlaps the edge of the field of view.

The algorithm is not general enough.
