Bugs: mkpsf

Bugs

  1. The ACIS-I psflib hypercube files do not contain PSF data for some regions on the S2 and S3 chips.

Bugs

  1. The ACIS-I psflib hypercube files do not contain PSF data for some regions on the S2 and S3 chips.

If the user is using the CALDB option to automatically select the psflib files, and the input file DETNAM is either set to ACIS-I or ACIS-012367 (or any number string containing "1"), an error will be returned when the X,Y coordinates indicate certain points on S2 or S3. This is due to a bug in the PSF library which is missing data for these regions.

    Workaround:

Manually set the detector to ACIS-S, where all psflib files contain S2 and S3 data. Use this syntax when specifying the CALDB option: "CALDB(DETECTOR=ACIS-S)".
