ACIS operations manages a series of alerts and monitors the realtime data from the instrument. We also monitor the proton fluence per orbit. This webpage covers memos on the real time monitoring and the health and safety limits used.The ACIS real-time limits allow us to autonomously monitor realtime telemetry for possible limit trips. Should a limit be exceeded, realtime monitoring software will alert ACIS Ops personnel via email or pages depending on the nature of the violation. The following links detail the evolution of the ACIS limits, and the operation of the monitoring software.
