Marx is a set of programs that are used to simulate Chandra observations. It can be used in conjunction with ChaRT - as described in the Using MARX to Create an Event File from ChaRT Rays thread, or use its own ray-trace code to simulate the Chandra mirrors. It can be downloaded from its homepage or with the install_marx script.
