A record of all filtering applied to a file (e.g. selection of a source region or a flaring interval) by the Data Model (DM). Having this recorded in a data file header allows subsequent tools to extract appropriate calibration information. The subspace also helps users recall how a particular file has been filtered.

All tools that use the DM library propogate the data subspace.
