Bugs: celldetect

Bugs

  1. Autonaming of ASCII region files uses the .fits extension instead of .reg as would be expected.

  2. Bad output regions if file doesn't have WCS (01 Jun 2010)

Bugs

  1. Autonaming of ASCII region files uses the .fits extension instead of .reg as would be expected.

In general, autonaming only works for simple cases.

  2. Bad output regions if file doesn't have WCS (01 Jun 2010)

There is a bug in the code that is triggered when there is no WCS in the input file. The output ellipse file contains nans for one ellipse axis and incorrect values for the other axis, e.g.

    ellipse(205.321375,205.388524,19324334176.875000,nan,134.968475)
    ellipse(202.888781,303.248053,30433992907.500000,nan,146.275436)
    ellipse(300.895890,200.711006,20048527248.750000,nan,123.238777)

The only workaround is to add a WCS to the file.
