The XSPEC srcut model: synchrotron spectrum, cutoff power law.
xssrcut The xssrcut model is an additive model component.
The model is described at .
Deprecated in Sherpa 4.10.0
The breakfreq parameter has been renamed break_ to match the XSPEC definition. The name breakfreq can still be used to access the parameter, but this name will be removed in a future release.
>>> create_model_component("xssrcut", "mdl") >>> print(mdl)
Create a component of the xssrcut model and display its default parameters. The output is:
mdl Param Type Value Min Max Units ----- ---- ----- --- --- ----- mdl.alpha thawed 0.5 0.3 0.8 mdl.break_ thawed 2.42e+17 1e+15 1e+19 Hz mdl.norm thawed 1 0 1e+24
The attributes for this object are:
|alpha||The radio spectral index.|
|break||The break frequency: approximately the frequency at which the flux has dropped by a factor of 10 from a straight power law.|
|norm||The 1 Ghz flux in Jy.|

CIAO 4.13 comes with support for version 12.10.1s of the XSPEC models. This can be checked with the following:
% python -c 'from sherpa.astro import xspec; print(xspec.get_xsversion())' 12.10.1s
